There are 2 basic means to win a duel.
1. Each player starts the game with 8000 points of life (or PV Life Points (LP) in English). The first player who reduces LP his adversary 0 is declared the winner.
2. The player who is unable to draw a sound card Deck is declared loser.

There are 4 ways special to win a duel: exodia, the countdown, the table cursed, the dragon of victory.
